WorldTraveller KS-TR 26

Exceptionally robust touring frame for 26" wheels, based around the frame of the legendary Koga-Miyata WorldTraveller. This frame is suitable for cycle touring under the most extreme conditions and on any terrain. The riding position is quite sporty.

With its compact geometry and very strong and lightweight 7005 aluminium tubing, the frame withstands touring with heavy luggage and crossing uneven terrain. The frame is extremely stable on descents, yet is lightweight thanks to the choice of frame material.

Traveller KS-TR 28

A sturdy frame for 28" wheels. The Traveller KS-TR 28 is the big brother of the WorldTraveller KS-TR 26. The larger wheel size makes this version better suited to extended on-road touring. As well as for trekking, often successfully used as a fast commuter from home to work or as a touring cycle. The riding position is quite sporty.

The stiff yet also lightweight frame tubes in 7005 aluminium make the frame extremely stable, even riding with luggage or off road.

Traveller KS-CF 28

Strong and lightweight 7005 aluminium frame with 'Mixed' geometry, meaning that the frame benefits from a relatively low step-through height without sacrificing stiffness or strength. This frame encourages a comfortable yet quick riding position, with the handlebars a little higher than on the TR Signature® series frames.

The frame is well suited to be built up as a travel, touring or commuter bike and is designed to carry heavy luggage.

The frame tubes are manufactured from lightweight and stiff 7005 aluminium. Where possible the tubing wall thickness is reduced to save weight - and where necessary, it's increased for extra strength. The wheelsize is 28".

Traveller KS-LF 28

Lightweight "low entry" 7005 aluminium frame, for 28" wheel size, with a good strength and stiffness proportion.The "low entry" geometry ensures that you can easily step up and step off the bike. This frame encourages a comfortable yet quick riding position, as a result of which it is well suited to be built up as a touring bike or commuter bike.

Randonneur KS-CR 28

The father of all Randonneur bicycles: the Randonneur KS-CR 28 from Koga Signature®. Front forks

Wide Bone rigid

The Koga Wide Bone is a very solid and stable front fork. It is intended for riding with heavy luggage and over uneven terrain. Material: triple hardened 7005 aluminium. It's a fork for people who do not want suspension - and hence a low-maintenance and robust cycle.

For KS-CR 28:
Front fork, specially made to use with the KS-CR 28 frame.
Based on a lugged crown, made from Tange chrome-molybdenum tubing.

A rigid fork is also lighter than a suspended type, and offers more direct handling.

KOGA Feather Shock

The Koga Feathershock front suspension fork is a unique Koga innovation and was specially developed for the keen touring cyclist. The Feathershock has a sporty appearance, is comfortable but at the same time much lighter than a standard front suspension fork. Also, this built-in suspension unit activates only when necessary: the fork gives extra comfort for wrists and shoulders without compromising the direct handling.

The Feathershock front suspension fork is a ball bearing guided suspension fork with a 35 mm travel.

Please take notice, that it isn't possible to combine wider tires than 37 mm with this Feathershock front suspension fork.

Suntour NCX-E RL Lite

The Suntour NCX is a lightweight suspension fork, with an air spring suspension system (travel 63 mm). The advantage of air suspension is the simple adjustment of the fork to the rider's weight by increasing or decreasing the air pressure.

The suspension in the NCX can be locked out with a lever on the handlebar.
The suspension in the NCX 26" can be locked during riding by a lever on the fork.

The magnesium lower legs and the air suspension make for a super lightweight fork.

Maintenance:

In order to maintain proper performance, it is recommended that you ask the place where you purchased the bicycle or your nearest Pro shop to carry out maintenance such as greasing the internal hub about once every two years starting from the first time of use (or once about every 5,000 km if the bicycle is used very frequently).

Shimano Alfine 11

Sporty and fashionable cycling will be brought to a whole new dimension with SHIMANO’s new ALFINE 11-speed internal geared hub. This hub gear will offer three more gears at a lighter weight than the current 8-speed version (SG-S501)! The components are simple, yet beautiful and highly reliable. This upgrade will further enhance the use of internal hub gear bicycles into the sports market.

Besides more gears and smaller steps in between the gears, the new ALFINE SG-S700 offers also a wider gear ratio of 409 % (compared to 306% for the 8-speed version). This hub gear will run super smooth thanks to the use of a completely new helical gear system. Helical gears feature an angled teeth profile that engage more gradually compared to spur (or straight-cut) profiles, resulting in a more smooth and quiet shift. This hub gear also features an improved durability by the use of an oil lubricant instead of grease.

Besides this new internal geared hub, Shimano will also offer a new ALFINE RAPIDFIRE PLUS shifter SL-S700 that operates in exactly the same direction as the top-level SHIMANO MTB groups. It has been designed using the latest shifter technologies: Instant Release technology: super fast and direct gear changing. Multi Release technology: allows multiple shifts with one lever stroke. Two-Way Release: Allows the index finger lever to be operated in two directions resulting in the same shift action (push-pull and push-push). SG-S700 and SL-S700 will be available in silver.

Maintenance:

To maintain the performance of the unit, it is recommended that maintenance such as internal oil change be performed at the shop from which you purchased it or at a professional shop after riding a total of 1,000km after start of use and every 2 years after that (every 5,000km if riding frequently).

Rohloff Speedhub

When you choose the Rohloff transmission system, instead of front and rear derailleurs and multiple cogs at front and back, you get a 14-speed enclosed hub gear and just one chainring and one sprocket.

Magura hydraulic HS33

Shimano hydraulic disc

A disc brake consists of a metal disc attached to the wheel hub that rotates with the wheel. Calipers are attached to the frame and fork along with pads that squeeze together on the disc. The disc brake is hydraulically operated from the steering wheel. A hydraulic brake works by squeezing the brake lever, so the oil is pushed into the brake hose. When the oil is flowed through the hose, it enters the caliper. In the caliper the oil will be divided to the pistons and with the pressure you add to the brake lever, the pistons in the caliper will be pushed to the disc.

Disc brakes are used mainly on mountain bikes ridden off-road, but sometimes on trekking bicycles, hybrid bicycles and touring bicycles.

Rims and spokes

KM19 Xlite / Sapim

The synergy of truly high-quality components working together is what makes a good wheel. We take the hub of the drivetrain groupset you chose. Rims, spokes and spoke nipples complete the set.

The Koga KM19 Xlite rims, made by Exal, are lighter (200 grams/set) and narrower (1,5 mm) than the KM21 Xstrong, but nevertheless still particularly strong. These rims are double-eyeletted; that means that the eyelets, into which the spokes are fastened, run through both rim walls. The eyelets are also oriented to the direction the spokes run, so that unwanted stresses in the wheel structure are minimised, making for a longer lasting wheel.

These aluminium alloy rims have an anodised layer, an extremely hard surface which practically eliminates corrosion.

The spoke nipples are Sapim Polyax nipples: these nipples were developed to be able to swivel freely within the eyelet, further reducing the chance of unwanted stresses.

The spokes also come from Sapim. These spokes are made from 18/8 stainless steel, a material with high tensile strength and excellent fatigue properties.

If you have decided on the Shimano Deore XT groupset, then a especially robust rear wheel with 40 spokes is fitted automatically. All of the other Shimano groupsets have wheels built with 36 spokes.

If you have decided on the Rohloff hub gear transmission, you will receive a wheel built with 36 spokes (Sapim Strong, butted spokes ø2,3 - 2,0 mm and spoke bend length 3,7mm), in this case consisting of a Koga EX19 Xstrong rim (These rims aren't double-eyeletted, but punched at an angle and therefore especially suitable for the Rohloff hub). Fewer spokes are required with the Rohloff hub, because the hub's symmetrical design ensures more even stress distribution than is found in the derailleur rear wheels it replaces.

KM21 Xstrong / Sapim

The synergy of truly high-quality components working together is what makes a good wheel. We take the hub of the drivetrain groupset you chose. Rims, spokes and spoke nipples complete the set.

The Koga KM21 Xstrong rims, made by Exal, are heavier (200 grams/set) and wider (1,5 mm) than the KM19 Xlite and because of that immense robust. If you have decided on the Shimano Deore XT groupset, then a especially robust rear wheel with 40 spokes is fitted automatically. All of the other Shimano groupsets have wheels built with 36 spokes.

If you have decided on the Rohloff hub gear transmission, you will receive a wheel built with 36 spokes (Sapim Strong, butted spokes ø2,3 - 2,0 mm and spoke bend length 3,7mm), in this case consisting of a Koga EX19 Xstrong rim (These rims aren't double-eyeletted, but punched at an angle and therefore especially suitable for the Rohloff hub). Fewer spokes are required with the Rohloff hub, because the hub's symmetrical design ensures more even stress distribution than is found in the derailleur rear wheels it replaces.

Brooks B-17 Standard gents leather

First designed in the early 1900s, the BROOKS B17 is the first choice for long distance touring riders who appreciate the unsurpassed comfort provided by the original leather saddle. If you don't like sweating, no other material is as breathable as leather.

But one should note that the comfort of a Brooks leather is not always immediately apparent: at first it can feel very hard indeed. The leather takes time to adjust itself to the rider's shape, and that takes a certain number of miles - but then you have a saddle which feels like it was moulded to fit.

Brooks B-17 S Standard ladies leather

BROOKS B17 S is the B17 version for ladies. It is the choice of long distance trekking riders, who appreciate the unsurpassed comfort provided by the original Leather Saddle. If you don't like sweating, no other material is as breathable as leather.

KOGA Signature®

KOGA Shock absorbing

A suspended seat post is for people who want to ride in particular comfort. The seat post absorbs irritating vibrations and shocks, for example when riding over cobbles.

TheShock absorbing seat post from Koga operates using an elastomer suspension system a unit made from an elastic form of plastic works as a spring to soak up shocks. This type of shock system reduces seat post weight, but it is not quite as effective as the more expensive and heavier air/oil or coil-spring suspension systems.

The Koga Shock absorbing uses a reliable and simple system to attach the saddle which minimizes the stress on the securing bolt. Adjusting the saddle angle is child's play as it doesn't involve pushing the saddle to the rear and to the front.

Airwings Evolution 360

The Airwings Evolution 360 is one of the highest quality saddles on the market. The quality shows in the very "fast-response" suspension characteristics: only very low forces are needed to start the suspension moving, so even the smallest bumps are "filtered out".

Please pay attention to your frame size! This seat post needs 3 cm more altitude/space than a regular seat post, this because of the suspension mechanism! So a smaller frame size could be adviseable.

PRO MTB Cross Country

The PRO MTB Cross Country is a simple, flat handlebar, robust enough for the stresses of off-road riding. The aluminium alloy from which the bar is made undergoes multiple hardening and so is particularly tough and strong. In addition the handlebar is double-butted: the tubing walls are extra thick where required and thinner where possible - so that the optimum combination of low weight, stiffness and strength is achieved.

The handlebar is lightweight. It gives a sporty riding position - depending on choice of stem - and offers relatively few possible hand positions.

KOGA Riser

The Koga Riser is very similar to the PRO MTB Cross Country, with the significant difference that the hands are positioned 15mm higher by the riser feature, so giving a more upright riding position.

KOGA The Bird

The Bird is a classic aluminium touring bar, offering a comfortable riding position. In comparison with the other handlebars in the Signature® range the hands are positioned relatively close to the body and are relatively high, so that the rider can sit relatively upright - depending of course on the selection of other components, including the frame size and type of stem chosen.

KOGA Multigrip

The Multigrip was developed by Koga, just like the Dali. This handlebar offers several grip positions and plenty of room. The "standard" hand position is fairly short reach and compared with the Dali, even shorter. With the hands on the sides of the bars you can really heave away hard - an ideal position for climbing. And with the hands on the tops you'll be sitting upright.

All in all the Multigrip offers a more comfortable riding position than the Dali: more upright and with the hands closer to the body. There's also more room on these handlebars.

KOGA Dali

Koga developed the Dali with a single objective: to create a handlebar which is stylish and lightweight yet offers a good range of hand positions. The "standard" grip position with the brake levers and gear shifters is relatively sporty. With the hands on the sides of the bar it's similar to riding with bar ends - this position is ideal for climbs. With the hands on the top bar position the rider can sit quite upright. Adjusting the handlebar angle offers even further possibilities.

Compared to the Koga Multigrip handlebar the Dali riding position is somewhat more sporty, somewhat longer in reach and somewhat lower.

The handlebar is made from strong and lightweight 6061 aluminium alloy, heat-treated for increased strength and stiffness.

KOGA Signature®

This "Koga Signature®" stem, in black anodized, is produced out of Alloy 6061-T6, a very trustworthy and lightweight material.
The weight of the stem is 130 grams (90 mm)/139 grams (110 mm) and has a rise of 8 degrees.

Furthermore please be informed, that the stem isn't adjustable, only the height can be changed (to add or to delete spacers).

Beside this lightweight stem we also have a lightweight seat post available in the bike configurator, the stem can be combined with the seat post very well due to the similar design and color.

PRO adjustable

With this PRO stem the angle is adjustable through 60 degrees, from 70 to 130 degrees. Compared to the Koga stem, the PRO offers a lower and more sporty riding position. In its lowest position the handlebar is 45 mm lower than at the Koga stem.

KOGA adjustable

Ritchey WCS/Koga foam

These grips are available as either short and long versions, both made from foam compound.

The short Ritchey WCS foam grips to fit the PRO MTB Cross Country, PRO MTB Riser 15 and The Bird handlebars are made from neoprene foam and even in wet weather they are slip-free and grippy. They are also super-light!

The long Koga foam grips for the Koga Multigrip, Koga Dali and Koga Selego handlebars are made from a particularly high quality soft foam designed for excellent shock and vibration absorption.

KOGA leather

The Koga grips are available as either short and long versions, both made from real leather.

The short leather grips are ergonomically shaped to fit the PRO MTB Cross Country, PRO MTB Riser 15 and The Bird handlebars, giving optimised pressure distribution and correct positioning of hand and wrist (adjustable).

The long leather grips for the Koga Multigrip, Koga Dali and Koga Selego handlebars incorporate a foam base for excellent shock and vibration absorption.

Because leather is breathable, the problem of sweaty hands is much reduced.

Ergon GR2-L

The GR2 has a composite 3-finger bar-end with anti-slip rubber inserts, is ergonomic, the perfect length and shape, and provides especially good hand support. The aluminium clamp mechanism holds the grip firmly on the handlebar with just one screw. The bar end and the grip can be independently adjusted to the correct support angle, so that you can create the perfect fit for your individual riding style.

KOGA Sole-Mate

The Sole-Mate is a lightweight pedal and it's developed by Koga.

The pedal is designed with an open concave stable platform and with an anti-slip tread, so that your feet stay firmly on the pedals even in the wet.

The `concave footplate´ is intended to ensure that the ball of the foot automatically positions itself correctly on the pedal: this means no more riding with your heel against the edge of the pedal. Instead, with the ball of the foot right over the rotating pedal you can achieve optimum power transfer.
You could compare this to a bike with clipless (click-in) pedals:
here also the ball of the foot is automatically located in the best position.

It turns unbelievably smoothly thanks to the sealed industrial cartridge bearings.

Shimano Combi PD-M324

VAUDE developed the Signature® pannier range specially for Koga Signature®. This range employs innovative Ultra Seam Technology, previously used in the prize-winning Discover pannier range. In this process the seams of the panniers are not sewn with needle and thread, but instead they are welded together. This makes the panniers more robust, lighter, and waterproof! The back panel of the panniers is made from hard plastic, which provides excellent protection for the pannier against impacts or abrasion.

The sports hub dynamo is a practical lighting solution for sports and trekking bike with hub dynamo lamp systems. Obviously the hub dynamo is far more superior to the battery type in terms of ecology and economy.

Shimano's dynamo hubs are not only compact and light in weight, they're more electrically efficient than ever. The sport hub dynamo DH-3D72 is especially designed to have a reliable dynamo hub for sportive wheelsets with an extreme low rolling resistance.

High quality sealed mechanism and hub rotation performance on Ultegra grade, featuring super polished bearing races.

Shimano Deore XT DH-T785

Shimano's dynamo hubs are not only compact and light in weight, they're more electrically efficient than ever. The sport hub dynamo DH-T785 is especially designed to have a reliable dynamo hub for sportive wheelsets with an extreme low rolling resistance.

Lighter weight by using Aluminium coil and axle.

Excellent durability is guaranteed by its double contact seal mechanism on the Deore XT level.

SONdelux

The SONdelux is the first hub dynamo generator that is specially designed to match with modern LED-headlights (such as Edelux, B&M Cyo and Koga Rayo). The advantage of an LED over a halogen bulb is that they are highly efficient at low power. This is why it is no longer neccessary to build a dynamo in such a way for it to give its nominal wattage at the lowest possible speed already. The SONdelux is therefore smaller and lighter than a hub dynamo that is made for a halogen lighting system (SON 28).

The no-load losses decrease when compared with the SON 28 (the most smooth-running standard hub dynamo at present) by 30 to 35%. With lights switched on, using the SONdelux saves about 1 watt of drive power. You can still reach 80 lux with the Edelux at high speeds. How-ever at 10 km/h the Edelux shines brighter than the best halogen headlights at the highest of speeds.

The SONdelux is as robust as the SON 28 with the same high-qualitiy finish. Naturally there is a 5 year guarantee, as with all Schmidt products. It is available in bright polished aluminium. The version for disc brakes has a Center Lock® mount.

KOGA Rayo Senso T

Daytime running light IQ-LED hub dynamo headlight with integrated reflector.

The new Rayo front light is completely integrated within the front mudguard and by employing brand new lighting technology it is twice as bright as a conventional front light. This increases both active and passive safety enormously: the rider can see better, and can also be more easily seen by other road users. The lightweight ‘sandwich’ design is fastened onto the mudguard. This integration minimizes the chance of damage through external impacts.

A new and higher performance LED and reflector technology, IQ-TEC, makes it possible to integrate a reflector into this compact unit, and nevertheless to achieve brightness values of over 35 Lux. With this performance the Rayo front light achieves a doubling of the illumination level.

Pletscher Comp

The Pletscher Comp aluminium kickstand is familiar for it's superb stability. It is a light kickstandand due to the wide support angle and it's solid positioning, this kickstand is preferable to be used for heavier loads on the carrier like babyseats and bags.

The Comp kickstand is a rear kickstand, mounted on the chain brace. A main advantage of a rear kickstand is that is will not make contact with the crank. It's very easy to install and can be used for bicycles from 20" up to 28".

Due to the "long life" folding spring mechanism it will prevent annoying vibrations during a ride.

Ring lock

AXA Defender RL

The AXA Defender RL is a modern and completely symmetrical designed ring lock in metallic colours. The lock has a two-star ART rating. Locks with this rating have undergone stringent tests carried out by the Netherlands testing institute TNO.

The ring lock has a Plug-In holder in which a Plug-In chain or cable can be fixed. The well designed foldable key is delivered with the lock mounted on a new bike. The key blade can also be folded, this provides optimal protection of clothing. Spare keys can always be ordered via the international spare key service.

SKS Chromoplastic fenders do have a unique sandwich construction. De fender is build around an alloy foil. The result is lightweight, solid and durable against the weather, with a nice gloss.
